The iPhone 5 was expected to be announced at Apple's 'Let's Talk iPhone' event on the 4th of October, the iPhone 4S was however announced instead. It is unlikely that Apple will release another iPhone (most likely called the iPhone 5), within the next 12 months. The iPhone 5 is most likely to be announced in late 2012, or early 2013.
We are expecting the following changes, when compared to the iPhone 4S:
• A completely new design, that is lighter and thinner.
• A larger screen (perhaps 3.7-inch or 4.0-inch, instead of the current 3.5-inch screen)
• An even faster dual core processor, anywhere from 1.2 - 1.5Ghz.
• Near Field Communications (NFC)
• 4G Network Compatibility
• Improved battery life
• Notification light
We will have to wait and see what Apple has in store, until then, we won't know what the next iPhone will be like.
