HTC One (M7) specs, release date update

HTC One (M7)

Update: The HTC One (previously known by codename M7) was officially unveiled on  February 19, 2013 in New York. The leaked image shown above was indeed that of the actual flagship smartphone and hardware specs mentioned in our original post below also came out to be correct. The only difference is that HTC One comes with a 4.0 Megapixel UltraPixel camera instead of the 4.3MP one as rumoured before. The 4G phone is currently available for pre-order at MobiCity.

Original Post:

Some new information has surfaced regarding HTC One revealing specs, a new image and its release date, according to sources.

Previously known as HTC M7, the phone has all the ingredients of a flagship device. Its name itself points in that direction, as 'One' has been HTC's flagship series for high-spec smartphones. Famous anonymous twitter user @evleaks has posted a new image for the upcoming handset (as shown above) that confirms a rectangular bar make with a two-tone colour finish.

HTC One is said to feature a 4.7-inch Full HD display and will employ HTC Sense 5.0, the latest version of the UI from HTC. A new ultrapixel camera is also expected to be part of the architecture.

GSMArena reports:

HTC One's ultrapixel camera technology is said to be made up of three 4.3-megapixel sensor layers, which will combine to give a single 4.3 MP image with no interpolation.

HTC is all set to host a press event on February 19, 2013 at New York where it is expected to unveil HTC One. The event is taking place just ahead of this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona so an early release may be on the cards.
