Nice phone Review by Dude
Good size capacitive screen, with excellent contrast even on a sunny day outdoors.
The pop out Qwerty keyboard is excellent with a good feel to the buttons. It has good sized keys with individual buttons including a dedicated @ key and arrow keys for moving around documents. The keyboard is a little tricky to open until you get the knack of it then it is easy.
It also features an on screen Qwerty keyboard in landscape mode with a portrait version coming in the next software upgrade
Well featured out of the box with Quick Office, and Nokia's messaging features. Also Ovi maps is excellent with free turn by turn navigation.
A good all round package. It gets a poor rating in some quarters because it runs Symbian probably because many reviewers are used to other platforms and don't bother to learn the Symbian way, however the Symbian platform works very well. (Posted on 16/04/11) -
Bad keypad design? Review by slood
by the looks of it, Nokia have again chosen to go with the non-bevelled, flat, rubbery and almost zero feedback key design--an implementation i really hate in my n97. since i do most of of my communication through e-mail and messaging, i've really missed the thumb friendly E71 design.
not sure who thought this would be a good idea. i'd have snapped one of these babies up right away, otherwise. (Posted on 20/11/10)
